Delving into Tate’s fascinating archive

Tate’s archive is a vast collection of treasures; from artefacts such as photos and prints, to sketchbooks and learning resources. We are lucky enough to be producing over 10 films to contribute to the Animating the Archives series. This film looks at artist’s sketchbooks that are within the archive, many of which can now be viewed online.

How do you use your sketchbook?

This film reveals how, for both young and established artists, their sketchbook are a creative space for thinking, trying out ideas, making mistakes and even shopping lists. It goes on to explore how digital media is making these processes more shareable.
