The national library of the United Kingdom

The British library is is the largest library in the world by number of items catalogued. It holds around 170 million items from many countries, in many languages and in many formats, both in print and digital: from books, manuscripts, journals, newspapers and magazines to sounds and music recordings, videos, play-scripts, maps, prints and drawings.

Using video to connect the print and digital world

Chocolate Films has worked with the British Library for several years on a range of projects, from both productions and learning workshops. Most recently, we produced 20 films for the British Library’s Magna Carta: My Digital Rights project.
