Documenting a local community project

The Francis Crick Institute commissioned Chocolate Films to document a community learning project which was set up to educate and inform the local community about the Institute in a fun and engaging way, as well as to celebrate the building, that will house over 1,500 scientists from across the world.

Behind the project

Chocolate Films documented three illustrators as they worked with community groups in Camden: the Somers Town Community Centre, Working Mens College and OneKX. Each group was working to create a graphic novel on the following themes: the discovery of DNA by Francis Crick, the design and architecture of the new Francis Crick Institute building and the future of biomedical research.
